11 - 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
12 - 1/2 tsp almond extract
→ Topping
13 - 2 tbsp sliced almonds
14 - 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
# Steps:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
02 - Toss sliced plums with 1 tablespoon sugar in a small bowl. Set aside to macerate.

06 - Add half the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then pour in milk. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
07 - Pour batter into prepared pan; smooth the surface. Evenly arrange sugared plum slices over batter and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
08 - Bake for 38–42 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and cake is golden.
09 - Cool cake in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
10 - Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
